Every Monday, I share something that I appreciate about men. It might come in the form of a story from a specific man in my own life. Or, it might simply be something that I love about men. Or both 🙂
I’m doing this because, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from spending time with men, it’s that you guys are woefully underappreciated for who you are and everything that you do.
Last night, my new boyfriend (yes, I have a new boyfriend!) gave me his sweatshirt so I wouldn’t be cold while we were walking back to his car after dinner.
This is especially nice of him considering that I had my own coat…but I left it in the car.
It’s also especially nice of him considering that I was already wearing a sweater and, without his sweatshirt, he was only in a t-shirt.
But that’s exactly how you guys are. You are willing to brave the elements just so that your girl can be extra comfy.
It’s really nice of you to keep us warm like that 🙂
The first night I met my husband, we were out with a group of friends. While we were waiting to get inside of a club, I was cold because I forgot a jacket. Without saying a word, Nicholas put his coat on my shoulders. That was one of the first moments I knew I liked him.
The best part is that no man has ever given me a hard time about not having my jacket with me. I have never been one of these girls to go outside in 30 degree weather wearing nothing but a tiny dress. But in California, the weather can change dramatically from daytime to night, and I have often found myself unprepared for when the temperature dips. When that happens, it’s nice to know that my man has my back — literally!
That’s why, this week, I’m appreciating you for giving up your jacket, just so I don’t spend the night shivering. Thank you for keeping me cozy. 🙂
Happy Man Appreciation Monday!
